Powergrid, a transmission utility in India, has officially launched the commercial operations of its 85 MW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Power Plant located at Nagda in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. This milestone was achieved through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Powergrid Energy Services Ltd. (PESL).
The plant, which is now fully operational as of April 24, 2025, marks a significant step in Powergrid's commitment to sustainable energy solutions and its efforts to contribute to India’s renewable energy goals. This new solar facility will play a key role in bolstering India’s clean energy infrastructure, further supporting the government’s ambition to transition to a green energy future.
