POWERCON Group, a global renewable energy solutions provider, has appointed Deepika Chavan as its Chief People Officer (CPO), strengthening its leadership team as it enters a new phase of expansion.

Chavan brings nearly two decades of experience across IT, renewable energy, FMCG, and EPC sectors. This marks her second stint with POWERCON, giving her strong familiarity with the company’s operations and strategic direction. Her expertise includes talent strategy, organisational design, performance management, and leadership development.

She has previously held roles at organisations such as Monster India, VA TECH WABAG, Sula, ITCube, and Tekdi Technologies.

In her new role, Chavan will work closely with the leadership team to align people strategy with business goals. Her focus will include strengthening leadership capabilities, improving organisational effectiveness, and standardising HR practices across the group.

She will also lead efforts to build structured talent pipelines across POWERCON’s portfolio companies, including CORE®, CFEE®, DataMann®, DroneMaster®, HT Infra®, PowerSun®, and PowerWind. This will involve leveraging industry-academia partnerships to create a deployment-ready talent pool.

Commenting on the appointment, Founder and CEO Praveen Kakulte said that the move aligns with POWERCON’s ambition to become a total solutions provider for the renewable energy industry, adding that Chavan’s experience positions her well to support the company’s rapid growth.

Chavan noted that POWERCON is at a pivotal stage in its expansion journey and expressed her intent to strengthen organisational capabilities in line with its growing renewable energy footprint.

The group continues to scale its presence across India and international markets, with operations spanning over 23 countries and a workforce of more than 700 employees, serving global conglomerates, independent power producers, and OEMs.
