Power-One announces its successful participation at "The Solar Show"

Power-One’s string inverters were highlighted at the show

Power-One, a member of the ABB Group and the world’s second largest designer and manufacturer of photovoltaic inverters, announced its successful participation at Africa’s largest solar exhibition, The Solar Show, which took place in Johannesburg on March 11-12, 2014. Power-One featured its series of TRIO and PVI string inverters at the show which were well-received by The Solar Show’s visitors.

With an output of 20 and 27.6kW respectively, Power-One’s three-phase TRIO-20.0-TL-OUTD and TRIO 27.6-TL-OUTD string inverters offer more flexibility and lower wiring cost to installers who have large installations with varying aspects or orientations. Both devices benefit from the technology perfected in the PVI-10.0 and 12.5, thereby ensuring high conversion efficiencies of up to 98.3 percent across a wide input voltage range. Featuring a double MPPT, the TRIO-20.0/27.6 can harvest energy from two sub-arrays with different orientations giving maximum flexibility for optimal energy production under changing conditions. 

Apart from its TRIO family, the company also showcased its non-isolated PVI-10.0-TL-OUTD and PVI-12.5-TL-OUTD string inverters: designed for commercial usage the transformerless devices are deployed with two independent MPPTs and deliver efficiency ratings of up to 97.8 percent. A wide input voltage range makes the PVI-10.0/PVI-12.5 the perfect choice for low power installations with reduced string size. Both the TRIO as well as the PVI string inverters are free of electrolytic capacitors to further increase the life expectancy and long term reliability.
