POM Power India has deployed an integrated clean energy system for Bharat Electronics Ltd.'s (BEL) newly inaugurated BEL SUSTRAGRID project at the company's Bengaluru campus, combining solar power, battery energy storage and electric vehicle charging infrastructure in a single installation.
The installation comprises a 90 kWp on grid solar photovoltaic plant, two 60 kWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) units, two DC fast EV chargers, and four AC slow EV chargers.
According to POM Power India, the project demonstrates how integrated renewable energy solutions can support clean mobility and strengthen sustainable energy infrastructure. The company said that it continues to provide integrated solutions spanning solar power systems, battery energy storage systems, DC and AC EV chargers, hybrid solar inverters and complete energy infrastructure solutions.
The company described the project as a first of its kind sustainable grid integrating solar generation, battery storage and EV charging systems to deliver reliable, self reliant and sustainable charging infrastructure.
The integrated system was inaugurated by Bharat Electronics Ltd. as BEL SUSTRAGRID at its Bengaluru Complex. BEL said that the project transforms its car parking area into a solar PV based parking shelter that generates renewable electricity while providing covered parking for vehicles.
According to BEL, the project will improve renewable energy utilisation, enhance energy resilience and contribute to reducing carbon emissions while reinforcing the company's commitment to energy efficiency, technological innovation and environmental sustainability.
