Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for a plethora of developmental projects across the power, rail, and road sectors, collectively valued at more than INR 56,000 crore during the public programme in Adilabad, Telangana.
The focal point of these projects lies in enhancing the power sector, promising significant advancements in energy generation and distribution.
Among the highlights of the upcoming event, PM Modi will dedicate NTPC’s 800 MW (Unit-2) Telangana Super Thermal Power Project in Peddapalli, Telangana. Utilizing cutting-edge Ultra-Supercritical Technology, this project is slated to provide 85 percent of its power output to Telangana, boasting an unparalleled power generation efficiency of approximately 42 percent among all NTPC power stations in India.
In addition, the PM Modi will commemorate the 660 MW (Unit-2) of North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project in Chatra, Jharkhand, heralded as the country's first Supercritical Thermal Power Project with an Air Cooled Condenser (ACC). This initiative significantly reduces water consumption, showcasing the government's commitment to sustainable development.
Furthermore, a series of other power-related projects spanning across various states will be inaugurated and their foundation stones laid, including initiatives such as the Fly Ash Based Lightweight Aggregate Plant at Sipat, Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, and the STP Water to Green Hydrogen Plant at Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.
The event will also witness the inauguration of several solar power projects, underscoring the government's emphasis on renewable energy. Noteworthy among these is the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation’s (NHPC’s) 380 MW Solar Project at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, expected to generate approximately 792 million units of green power annually.
In addition to these energy-centric endeavors, the PM Modi will also lay the foundation for significant road and rail projects, including the electrified Ambari - Adilabad - Pimpalkhuti rail line and two major National Highway projects connecting Telangana with Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.
