Perkins appoints Pankaj Jha as its General Sales Manager for India

Perkins has announced the appointment of Pankaj Jha as general sales manager for India.

As general sales manager based out of Bangalore, Pankaj will lead on all sales related activities in India and will continue to work closely with Perkins electric power (EP) Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), industrial OEMs and our distribution partners Gmmco Power and Powerparts to deliver the India strategy and business growth plan.

“Perkins is the engine of choice in the electric power industry, something which I’ve experienced first-hand as I‘ve meet and spent time with Indian end users and EP consultants,” said Pankaj. “I’m looking forward to continuing to grow our business and ensure India has access to Perkins dependable, powerful and cost effective engines to meet its power needs.”

Pankaj, who has worked across the engine industry for more than ten years, joined Perkins in 2012 as South Asia marketing manager. During this time he delivered significant results, including raising awareness of the Perkins brand in India and actively supporting the growth of 2000 and 4000 Series engine sales in the region.

Asia Pacific sales director Daniel Bentley stated: “Pankaj has a wealth of experience in the engine industry and I’m delighted he will be leading our India sales team. Pankaj is focused on our customers’ requirements and alongside his team will continue to drive Perkins engines sales in India’s EP and industrial sectors.”
