PeakAmp, a battery circularity and resource recovery company, has signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Curve Electric, the electric mobility startup, to strengthen end-of-life battery management across its operations. Based in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, Curve Electric is driving the adoption of sustainable mobility through its e-bike rental and sales platform. The collaboration aims to build a structured and compliant ecosystem for battery collection, exchange, recycling and regulatory compliance, supporting the sustainable growth of India's electric mobility sector.

Under the agreement, PeakAmp will oversee the collection, reverse logistics and environmentally responsible recycling of end-of-life batteries generated through Curve Electric's operations.

The company will also serve as Curve Electric's official battery exchange partner, enabling customers to replace used e-bike batteries through a structured buyback programme. In addition, PeakAmp will support the company's ESG and regulatory requirements by facilitating recycling certificates and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) documentation, ensuring end-to-end traceability and compliance with the Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022.

Speaking about the agreement, Aditya Sudhanshu, Co-Founder and COO, PeakAmp, said, "As EV adoption grows, responsible battery management must grow alongside it. Our collaboration with Curve Electric ensures end-of-life batteries are collected, recycled and brought back into the circular economy, while making battery replacement more convenient for customers. Partnerships like these are essential to building a transparent, compliant and sustainable EV ecosystem in India."

Sheikh Yameen, CEO and Co-Founder, Curve Electric, said, “This partnership is far more than a recycling agreement, it is a strategic investment in the future of sustainable mobility. As Curve Electric expands its fleet and retail footprint across India, PeakAmp will play a critical role in ensuring every battery remains traceable, compliant and responsibly recovered at the end of its life. Together, we expect this collaboration to support a battery circularity ecosystem over the next five years while strengthening our ESG commitments and creating long-term operational efficiencies."

The agreement reflects the increasing emphasis within India's electric mobility ecosystem on integrating circular economy principles into everyday operations. By combining battery exchange with compliant recycling and ESG support, the collaboration aims to improve battery traceability, maximise resource recovery, and reduce the flow of battery waste into informal recycling channels.
