Patel Infrastructure, Alfanar Power, KP Energy, Powerica Win GUVNL’s 250 MW Wind Power Auction
Patel Infrastructure, Alfanar Power, KP Energy, and Powerica have emerged as winners in Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam’s 250 MW wind power auction.

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam’s (GUVNL) auction to set up 250 MW grid-connected wind power projects (Phase X) has attracted an L1 (lowest bid) tariff of INR 3.43/kWh. Patel Infrastructure, Alfanar Power, KP Energy and Powerica have emerged winners.
Patel Infrastructure, Alfanar Power have secured 100 MW and 50 MW, respectively, at a tariff of INR 3.43/kWh.
KP Energy has won 50 MW at a tariff of INR 3.44/kWh.
Powerica has bagged 50 MW out of the quoted 106.40 MW at a tariff of INR 3.44/kWh, under the bucket-filling method.
The tender was floated in September 2025.
GUVNL will enter into a PPA with successful bidders for a period of 25 years.
The projects must be located at the locations chosen by the bidders anywhere in India at its own discretion of cost, risk and responsibility. In case of Inter-State Projects and Projects connected through the CTU Network, all the transmission charges and losses up to the delivery point must be borne by the bidder.
The bidders are free to choose the CTU/GETCO substations for interconnection of the project to the grid.
The offered/declared annual CUF must not be less than 25 percent.
The type-certified wind turbine models listed in ‘Approved list of Models and Manufacturers (Wind)’ must be used in the projects.
