Panasonic Selects 12 Startups for 'Panasonic Ignition' Accelerator Program

The primary objective of the 'Panasonic Ignition' program is to mentor, guide, and fund early to mid-stage startups that are developing innovative solutions in the field of Energy Management.

Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) and Panasonic Corporation (PC), in collaboration with leading seed stage venture capital firm 100X.VC has announced the shortlist of 12 startups for the 'Panasonic Ignition' Corporate Innovation accelerator program. 

The initiative, launched in October 2023, garnered over 140 entries, reflecting the strong interest and participation of startups in the energy management sector.

The primary objective of the 'Panasonic Ignition' program is to mentor, guide, and fund early to mid-stage startups that are developing innovative solutions in the field of Energy Management, particularly focused on commercial spaces.

The Chief Innovation Officer at Panasonic Life Solutions India, Manish Misra, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to launch the 'Panasonic Ignition' program in collaboration with 100X.VC, marking a pivotal moment in driving innovation within the energy management sector."

The selection process involved a rigorous evaluation, and after careful consideration, 12 startups were shortlisted. These startups will now embark on a three-month journey as part of the 'Panasonic Ignition' program. During this period, they will receive comprehensive support from both Panasonic and 100X.VC, including mentorship sessions, guidance, and financial resources to advance their projects.

Yagnesh Sanghrajka, Founder and CFO at 100X.VC, expressed satisfaction with the collaborative efforts, saying, "It has been a rewarding experience working closely with the Panasonic Corporation teams, from both Japan and India."

The 12 promising startups selected for the program are SustLabs, MinionLabs, Clairco, Enlite, Zodhya, Living Things, Sensiable, Carbon Minus, Nebeskie, Quebeq Venture, Blaze, and Cymbeline. These startups will showcase diverse innovative approaches to energy management, and the program aims to catalyze their growth over the next 12-14 weeks.

As part of the engagement, Panasonic will present challenges to the startups, and regular reviews will determine their progress. The final winner of the 'Panasonic Ignition' program is expected to be announced in March 2024.
