Panasonic Forms Panasonic Industry & Energy India, Narayan Kumar Appointed Chief Business Officer

Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) has announced the strategic consolidation of its Industrial Devices (INDD) and Energy Solutions (ESD) divisions into a single entity, Panasonic Industry & Energy India (PIDEIN).

The move aims to enhance organisational agility, drive operational synergy, and strengthen customer-centric innovation, aligning with Panasonic’s long-term growth strategy in India.

Narayan Kumar, formerly Divisional Director of the Industrial Devices Division, has been elevated as Chief Business Officer (CBO) of the new consolidated entity. Reporting to Tadashi Chiba, MD and CEO of PLSIND, Kumar brings extensive B2B experience and a strategic focus on innovation and customer solutions.

Panasonic’s Industrial Devices Division specialises in electronic and electromechanical components such as passives, sensors, relays, microswitches, BLDC motors, and automation products including servo systems, PLCs, HMIs, and sensing solutions. The Energy Division offers sustainable solutions including lithium-ion EV batteries, renewable energy storage systems, and energy management solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
