Pahal Solar Breaks Ground for 2 GW Solar Cell and 2 GW Aluminium Frame Manufacturing Plant in Surat
Pahal Solar has performed the Bhoomi Poojan for a new manufacturing complex in Surat with a 2 GW solar cell plant and a 2 GW aluminium frame facility. The plants are expected to be operational by late 2026.

Gujarat-based solar module manufacturer Pahal Solar has announced that the company recently held the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony for its new manufacturing complex featuring a 2 GW Solar cell plant and a 2 GW Aluminium frame production facility in Surat.
This investment represents a significant step in Pahal Solar’s journey toward full vertical integration and advanced automation, the company said in a statement. The upcoming facilities, equipped with AI-based precision and analytics systems, will enhance manufacturing efficiency, consistency, and product quality.
Currently, Pahal Solar’s operational capabilities include 2.4 GW of solar module production capacity and 2 GW of ribbon and busbar manufacturing. The company is undertaking strategic infrastructure upgrades to enhance its total installed capacity to 4.4 GW within the ongoing financial year, it said.
Commenting on the development, Paresh Shingala, Chairman and Founder of Pahal Solar, said, “This investment not only strengthens our manufacturing capabilities but also demonstrates our long-term confidence in India’s renewable future and commitment to making the nation a global hub for solar innovation.”

The upcoming 2 GW solar cell and 2 GW frame manufacturing units are expected to be fully commissioned by late 2026, the company stated.
