Pace Digitek has announced the signing of an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with NLC India for the development of 250 MW/500 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across three locations in Tamil Nadu.

The company secured the capacity in an auction held by NLC India in May 2026.

The contract value stands at INR 7,099 million (including GST) and includes complete EPC execution excluding supply of power transformers, along with 12-year comprehensive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services.

The scope includes design, engineering, manufacturing-linked supply, installation, testing, commissioning and associated civil, structural and infrastructure works for deployment of the 250 MW/500 MWh BESS project across multiple locations in Tamil Nadu.

“This project represents a significant contribution to strengthening grid reliability and accelerating the adoption of sustainable energy infrastructure. With advanced energy storage solutions and long-term operational support, we remain committed to delivering projects that drive efficiency, reliability, and India's clean energy ambitions,” stated the company.

Last month, Pace Digitek's arm, TRANSGREENX, signed a PPA with BESCOM for a 250 MW solar PV project integrated with a 250 MW/1100 MWh battery energy storage system at Pavagada Solar Park in Karnataka.
