Oyster Renewable, MS Agarwal Partner for 48 MWp RE Project in AP

Oyster Renewable has partnered with MS Agarwal Foundries for a 48 MWp solar wind hybrid renewable energy project in Andhra Pradesh.

The project is designed to supply MS Agarwal Foundries with reliable and sustainable renewable power, combining solar and wind generation to create a more balanced renewable energy profile. 

Once operational, the hybrid solar-wind facility is estimated to generate over 12.2 crore units of renewable electricity annually, helping avoid approximately 86,620 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

The development comes against the backdrop of Andhra Pradesh’s growing focus on renewable energy. The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024 supports solar, wind and hybrid projects, including the development of Renewable Energy Zones, with incentives such as a 50 percent exemption on transmission and wheeling charges for eligible wind-solar hybrid projects for five years from commercial operation. The state is targeting 72.60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, further strengthening its clean-energy ecosystem.
