Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his delight as over one crore households across the nation have registered for the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Launched just a month ago, the initiative has garnered significant traction, with registrations pouring in from various parts of the country.
Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi exclaimed, "Outstanding news! In about a month since it was launched, over 1 crore households have already registered themselves for the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana."
The registrations have been particularly noteworthy in states like Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh, where over 5 lakh households have enrolled in the scheme. This response highlights the widespread interest and need for affordable electricity solutions.
Encouraging those who haven't registered yet, the PM urged them to do so at the earliest, emphasizing the benefits of the initiative. He also shared the official website, pmsuryaghar.gov.in, for easy access to registration.
