Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi exclaimed, "Outstanding news! In about a month since it was launched, over 1 crore households have already registered themselves for the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana."
The registrations have been particularly noteworthy in states like Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh, where over 5 lakh households have enrolled in the scheme. This response highlights the widespread interest and need for affordable electricity solutions.
Encouraging those who haven't registered yet, the PM urged them to do so at the earliest, emphasizing the benefits of the initiative. He also shared the official website, pmsuryaghar.gov.in, for easy access to registration.
Speaking about the significance of the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, PM Modi highlighted its potential to bring about substantial reductions in electricity expenses for households while ensuring energy production. He emphasized that the initiative is poised to promote Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE) on a grand scale, contributing to a better and more sustainable planet.
