Ostara Advisors Appoints Sophia Nadur as Strategic Advisor

Deep-tech and sustainability-focused investment banking firm Ostara Advisors has appointed Sophia Nadur as Strategic Advisor, strengthening its capabilities in energy transition, e-mobility, cleantech and sustainable infrastructure advisory.

In her new role, Nadur will support the firm in expanding its strategic advisory services while enhancing its global network of investors, innovators and industry stakeholders. The appointment comes as India continues to attract increasing investments in clean energy, mobility innovation and sustainable infrastructure amid the global push towards decarbonisation.

Nadur brings more than 30 years of international experience across corporate strategy, venture investing, innovation and business transformation. During her career, she has held senior leadership positions at major multinational companies, including BP, Unilever, Mars, Coca-Cola, Mondelez International and British American Tobacco, working across more than 20 markets worldwide.

At BP, Nadur played a key role in developing the company's global electric vehicle charging business and contributed to scaling multi-billion-dollar joint ventures in India and China. As Managing Director and Investment Committee member at BP Ventures, she oversaw a portfolio exceeding USD 200 million focused on clean energy and mobility ventures across four continents.

Beyond her corporate experience, Nadur currently chairs the investment committee of a leading UAE-based cleantech accelerator and has served on boards in India and the UK. She is also a qualified solicitor, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and serves as a magistrate in the UK.

Commenting on the appointment, Vasudha Madhavan said that Nadur's combination of operational leadership, investment expertise and global market knowledge would strengthen the firm's ability to support companies and investors navigating the rapidly evolving sustainability landscape.
