Orxa Energies Partners with Nunam Technologies for Sustainable EV Battery Reuse

In a significant move towards sustainable practices in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, Orxa Energies has announced a strategic partnership with Nunam Technologies, a Bangalore-based start-up specialising in EV battery reuse.

The collaboration centres around the development of a circular value chain, particularly focusing on Orxa's flagship electric motorcycle, Mantis.

Nunam Technologies will play a pivotal role in extending the lifespan of Mantis batteries by repurposing them into renewable energy storage systems. This innovative approach not only promotes affordability but also contributes to a minimal carbon footprint, aligning with the growing demand for sustainable solutions in the EV sector.

The partnership encompasses a comprehensive initiative, including the establishment of a battery buyback mechanism for Orxa's B2B customers and Mantis riders.

Over the next 2-3 months, the collaborative efforts will be evident as the Nunam team collaborates closely with Orxa Energies' engineering team. The primary focus during this period is to identify reuse possibilities and minimize costs associated with repurposing batteries.

Ranjita Ravi, Co-Founder of Orxa Energies, expressed optimism about the venture, stating, "As we move forward, we foresee a future where our products contribute to a cleaner and greener environment."

Darshan Virupaksha, Co-founder of Nunam Technologies, highlighted the broader goals of the initiative, stating, "The aim is to contribute to clean energy requirements in India, focusing on applications such as off-grid energy storage, micro-grids, and solar-powered machines for agriculture and cottage industries."

The end goal is to ensure the highest buyback value for Mantis batteries, setting the stage for more affordable financing schemes for the Mantis community in the future.
