Organic Recycling Systems (ORSL) has announced that the company has entered into a strategic business development and service collaboration with General Carbon Advisory Services to strengthen its sustainability and carbon management service offerings, with a focused emphasis on Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) advisory and compliance support.
Under this engagement, ORSL will leverage its strong industrial relationships, market presence, and sectoral understanding to identify and support organisations requiring CBAM preparedness, carbon reporting, emissions data management, and related sustainability compliance services. General Carbon Advisory Services will provide specialised technical advisory, assessments, reporting frameworks, and verification support as part of the integrated service offering, a joint statement by the companies noted.
It further added that with global regulations such as CBAM increasingly impacting export-oriented industries, Indian manufacturers, particularly in sectors such as steel, aluminium, cement, chemicals, and engineering products, are expected to face growing pressure to demonstrate transparent emissions reporting and compliance readiness.
Speaking on the development, Yashas Bhand, Whole-time Director, ORSL, stated, “As global markets move toward stricter carbon accountability frameworks, Indian industry requires practical and credible support to remain competitive. This collaboration strengthens ORSL's ability to support clients with sustainability, carbon compliance, and decarbonisation advisory services while building long-term value-driven relationships.”
Priyanka Pothana, MD and CEO, General Carbon Advisory Services, remarked, “With carbon regulations such as CBAM effectively translating emissions into direct financial liabilities, businesses need to approach carbon management with the same rigour as financial planning. Our collaboration with ORSL enables us to support organisations in not only meeting compliance requirements, but doing so through a structured, strategy-led approach.”
She further added, “By integrating carbon data, financial impact assessment, and forward-looking decarbonisation strategies, we aim to help companies turn regulatory pressure into a strategic lever, reducing tax exposure while building long-term competitiveness in a carbon-constrained global market.”
The collaboration will focus on delivering a comprehensive suite of services aimed at strengthening climate compliance and decarbonisation efforts. This includes CBAM readiness assessments, along with detailed emissions data review and reporting support to ensure accuracy and transparency. It will also cover the development of robust carbon accounting and documentation frameworks, alongside supplier engagement and sustainability reporting systems to streamline value chain alignment. Additionally, the partnership will provide verification and assurance coordination support, complemented by broader advisory services on decarbonisation strategies and evolving climate compliance requirements, the company stated.
