Orient Green Power’s Subsidiary Beta Wind Farm Gets CRISIL Rating Upgrade to BBB/Stable
Beta Wind Farm operates 241.6 MW of wind energy projects across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Karnataka, making it a key subsidiary of OGPCL.

The one-notch upgrade applies to Beta Wind Farm's rupee term loan facilities from the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), with a sanctioned facility amount of INR 617.79 crore. The outstanding amount with IREDA stood at INR 456.68 crore as of September 16, compared with INR 478.74 crore as of March 31, 2026, according to the company.
Beta Wind Farm operates 241.6 MW of wind energy projects across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Karnataka, making it a key subsidiary of OGPCL.
The rating upgrade was assigned after CRISIL considered the subsidiary's healthy operational performance, driven by improved generation and cash accruals, which strengthened its debt-servicing capacity, OGPCL said.
The revised rating also reaffirms the rating ICRA assigned to Beta Wind Farm on September 8, 2026, the company said.
CRISIL BBB ratings indicate a moderate degree of safety regarding the timely servicing of financial obligations, according to the company.
