Oriana Power has emerged as the successful bidder in Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) third green ammonia auction. Oriana Power will supply 60,000 TPA of green ammonia to Madhya Bharat Agro Products’ plant in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh at a price of INR 52.25/kg.

This is the third in a planned series of 13 auctions over the coming month, under a tender aggregating a cumulative procurement capacity of 7.24 lakh MT/year.

Earlier this week, NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, emerged as the lowest bidder in SECI’s second Green Ammonia auction, securing 70,000 MTPA capacity at a record low of INR 51.80/kg for supply to Krishana Phoschem in Madhya Pradesh.

Last week, ACME Cleantech Solutions won SECI’s first-ever Green Ammonia auction under the SIGHT Scheme (Mode-2A) at a bid price of INR 55.75/kg to supply 75,000 MTPA to Paradeep Phosphates Ltd., Odisha.

“These milestones aren’t just numbers; they signal commercial viability, global competitiveness, and a national commitment to scaling clean energy. SECI’s role is more than administrative; it’s catalytic, aligning policy, engaging stakeholders, and turning molecules into momentum,” said SECI in a statement.

It further added that with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) steering policy formulation and instituting robust frameworks for payment security and the Department of Fertilizer (DoF) ensuring assured offtake, India’s green energy ambitions are not just gaining momentum it is setting the pace globally as a leader in the Green Hydrogen eco-system.
