Oriana Power Secures INR 1,180.53 Crore EPC Order from DVC for 234 MW Floating Solar Project

Oriana Power has secured purchase orders worth INR 1,180.53 crore from Damodar Valley Corporation to develop a 234 MW grid-tied floating solar PV project at the Maithon Dam Reservoir in Jharkhand.

Oriana Power has announced that the company has received Purchase Orders (POs) worth INR 1,180.53 crore from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for the setting up of a 234 MW grid-tied floating solar PV (FSPV) plant at the Maithon Dam Reservoir of DVC in Jharkhand.

The scope of work broadly includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the floating solar PV plant, along with comprehensive operation and maintenance, the company stated in a regulatory filing.

The order comprises three individual contracts for the supply of plant and equipment, EPC services, and long-term operation and maintenance. The projects are scheduled to be completed in 18 months.

“This project is one of the largest floating solar projects in the country and represents a significant milestone for the company, further strengthening its presence in the large-scale renewable energy EPC sector,” the company stated.

Winning this tender reflects our engineering depth, execution discipline, and experience in delivering technically complex renewable energy infrastructure. Floating solar has an important role in optimising land use while supporting large-scale decarbonization. In January 2026, Oriana Power signed an MoU with V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, Tuticorin, to collaborate on carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) initiatives and the development of e-ammonia and e-methanol facilities. The partnership also contemplates the establishment of a green methanol production facility with the objective of supporting the carbon neutrality initiatives of the Port Authority and enhancing the port’s preparedness for green methanol bunkering and export-oriented green hydrogen derivative infrastructure.
 
In December 2025, the company secured EPC orders worth INR 186.36 crore to develop a 50 MW (AC) grid-interactive solar PV power project in Kerala.
 
In October 2025, the company received a Letter of Award (LoA) worth INR 217.45 crore from SJVN for setting up a 50 MW (AC) grid-interactive solar PV power project to be developed in Gujarat under GUVNL Phase XXII.

In August 2025, Oriana Power emerged as the successful bidder in Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) green ammonia auction. Oriana Power will supply 60,000 TPA of green ammonia to Madhya Bharat Agro Products’ plant in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh at a price of INR 52.25/kg.

In March 2025, Oriana Power signed an INR 500 crore MoU with the Assam government to develop solar and battery energy storage projects in Kamrup district of Assam, during the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025 held in Guwahati, Assam.
