Guidelines for implementing "Off-Grid And Decentralised Solar PV Applications" scheme during 12th plan period

MNRE released the operational guidelines for implementation of off-grid and decentralised solar applications sub scheme "Off-Grid And Decentralised Solar Pv Applications" during 12th plan period. 

The Scheme would continue to be implemented through multiple implementing agencies for rapid up-scaling in an inclusive mode. These agencies would enable significant reduction in transaction cost and time, since individuals and small groups of clients would be in a position to access the provisions of the scheme. The following Categories of implementing agencies would be involved in the implementation of the Scheme:

  • State Renewable Energy Development Agencies (State Nodal Agencies)
  • Financial Institutions/Financial Integrators (e.g. NABARD and Regional Rural Banks, Commercial Banks, IREDA and NHB)
  • Channel Partners including RESCO
  • Solar Energy Corporation of India
  • Other Large Govt. Departments/PSUs
