Onix Renewable has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat at Vibrant Gujarat 2026, held at Marwadi University in Rajkot. The MoU was signed by Divyesh Savaliya, Chairman and Managing Director, Onix Renewable, in the presence of Rushikesh Patel, Honorable Minister for Energy and Petrochemicals, Government of Gujarat.

The details of the MoU were presented by Hardik Adhiya, Chief Operating Officer, Onix Renewable, who outlined a portfolio of high-impact renewable energy and infrastructure projects aligned with national priorities for energy security, decarbonisation and employment generation. These initiatives closely resonate with the Government of India’s vision to position Gujarat as a global hub for green energy under the Vibrant Gujarat framework.

During the summit, the company was also recognised for its leadership under the PM-Kusum Component-C scheme. The company emerged as a pioneer and market leader in Gujarat and was conferred with an award as the First Winner for charging the highest number of solar projects in the state under the scheme. The recognition highlights the company’s execution excellence, rapid project commissioning and strong coordination with state utilities.

This achievement reflects Onix Renewable’s capability in delivering large-scale, distribution-level solar projects, contributing significantly to decentralised power generation, reduction of technical losses and enhanced grid reliability across rural Gujarat.

As part of the MoU, Onix Renewable has proposed several key investment initiatives. A major highlight is the establishment of a green ammonia production facility at Fulzar, Taluka Vinchiya, District Rajkot. The project involves a proposed investment of INR 10,000 crore and is expected to generate approximately 1,500 employment opportunities. Commercial operations are targeted to commence in 2028, and the facility is envisaged to play a critical role in supporting India’s emerging green hydrogen and green ammonia ecosystem while advancing national decarbonisation objectives.

In addition, the company has proposed the implementation of PM-Kusum Component-C projects at multiple locations across Gujarat, with proposed investments of INR 121 crore and INR 280 crore. These projects are scheduled to commence in 2026 and are expected to generate around 680 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The initiatives will significantly contribute to decentralised solar power generation, grid strengthening and improved energy access for agricultural and rural consumers.

To further enhance power system reliability and modernise electricity distribution infrastructure, the company has also proposed underground cable infrastructure projects at multiple locations. These projects involve a proposed investment of INR 75 crore, are planned to begin in 2026, and are expected to create approximately 200 employment opportunities, while improving safety, reliability and resilience of the power network.

By integrating renewable energy generation, green fuel production and robust power infrastructure, the company aims to make a meaningful contribution to India’s net-zero ambitions and strengthen Gujarat’s leadership in the renewable energy sector.

The MoU signed at Vibrant Gujarat 2026 marks a significant step forward in Onix Renewable’s journey towards building a cleaner, greener and more resilient energy future for India.
