Onix Renewable Ltd. has initiated the development of a 1,959 MW solar power project under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY 2.0), which is aligned with the PM-KUSUM Scheme.
The project is being implemented in collaboration with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).
With a total planned capacity of 1,959 MW, the project is structured through two special purpose vehicles (SPVs): NOPL Pace Green Energy Private Limited (990 MW) and NOPL Solar Projects Private Limited (969 MW).
The initiative aims to decarbonise Maharashtra’s rural power supply, enhance agricultural productivity, and significantly accelerate the state’s shift to renewable energy. As the off-taker, MSEDCL will integrate this green power into its distribution network, benefiting farmers and rural communities across the state.
“We are honoured to support the Government of Maharashtra and MSEDCL in realising this transformative solar mission. Through innovation, collaboration, and execution excellence, we aim to drive lasting impact for our investors, communities, and the environment," said Divyesh Savaliya, Chairman and Managing Director, Onix Renewable Ltd.
The project has already achieved several developmental landmarks. Land acquisition has been completed across most of the identified sites. Project execution is advancing rapidly, with detailed engineering, plant design, and mobilisation well underway. Key construction activities and EPC assignments have begun across several locations, all being executed in strict compliance with environmental and regulatory standards to ensure sustainability and long-term viability.
According to the company, the venture has reinforced its leadership in the renewable energy space and is also contributing to the national and state-level goals for clean energy, climate resilience, and inclusive growth.
