ONGC NTPC Green Arm Commissions Additional 50 MW at 300 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

Project Sixteen Renewable Power, a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green and a group company of NTPC Green Energy, has operationalised an additional 50 MW at its 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan, taking the project's cumulative commissioned capacity to 250 MW. With this, the NGEL group's total installed capacity has increased to 10,671.40 MW.

NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has announced that Project Sixteen Renewable Power, a step-down subsidiary of NGEL's joint venture ONGC NTPC Green, has operationalised the third part capacity of 50 MW at its 300 MW solar project located in Rajasthan.
 
With this, the project’s cumulative installed capacity has reached 250 MW. While the first part capacity of 150 MW was operationalised in April 2026, the second part capacity of 50 MW was commissioned in May 2026.
 
With the commissioning of this 50 MW capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Group has increased to 10,671.40 MW, stated the company in a regulatory filing.
 
In May 2026, NGEL operationalised the eighth and the last part capacity of 105 MW, thereby fully commissioning its 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project located in Gujarat.
 
In March 2026, the company operationalised the third and last part capacity of 75 MW at its 500 MW Bhadla solar PV project located in Phalodi, Rajasthan and the twelfth and last part capacity of 78.02 MW at its 1,255 MW Khavda-I solar PV project located in Gujarat.
 
By 2032, NTPC Group plans to have 60 GW capacity through RE sources, constituting nearly 45 percent of its overall power generation capacity.
