Oman’s Nama Power and Water Procurement Company (PWP) has invited qualified consultancy firms to bid for technical advisory services for the development, structuring and procurement of four utility scale solar independent power producer (IPP) projects with a combined planned capacity of 4 GW.

Each project is expected to have a generation capacity of 1,000 MW and will be connected to Oman’s Main Interconnected System. Commercial operations are targeted to begin by the second quarter of 2030.

The selected consultant will support project development and the competitive procurement process, including preparation of technical documentation, bid evaluation and technical advisory services through to contract award.

The projects are part of Oman’s efforts to diversify its energy mix and expand renewable energy generation in line with its clean energy objectives. The deadline for submitting bids is August 26, 2026.
