Oman’s Nama Power and Water Procurement Company (PWP) has issued a tender seeking qualified firms to provide project management and supervisory consultancy services for the 300 MW Marsa Solar Independent Power Project (IPP).

The Marsa Solar project, with a planned capacity of 280–300 MW, is a key component of Oman’s strategy to expand renewable energy generation and accelerate its energy transition goals. The project is expected to support diversification of the country’s energy mix, reduce carbon emissions, and strengthen sustainable electricity generation.

According to the tender notice, the selected consultant will oversee the project during its construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases. The scope of work includes monitoring contractor performance, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and quality standards, enforcing health and safety requirements, and supporting the successful delivery of the solar facility.

The deadline for submission of bids is July 26. The consultancy appointment is expected to play a critical role in ensuring timely and efficient execution of the Marsa Solar IPP, one of Oman’s significant renewable energy developments.
