Oil India and CSIR-IMMT Ink MoU to Pursue Joint Research in Critical Minerals
Oil India and CSIR Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology have signed an MoU to collaborate on R&D projects in the field of critical minerals.

The MoU was signed by the Director (Exploration & Development), OIL and the Director, CSIR-IMMT in the presence of CMD, OIL and attended by functional Directors, senior officials of OIL and senior scientists of CSIR-IMMT.
The MoU would pave the way for pursuing R&D activities in the critical mineral domain, as outlined in NCMM, stated OIL.
In August 2025, Oil India signed an MoU with IREL (India), a Miniratna PSU under the Department of Atomic Energy, engaged in the mining and processing of mineral sands, including the extraction and refining of rare earth elements, to cooperate and collaborate for the development of critical minerals.
