Ohmium Unveils Lotus Mark 3 Electrolyser with Compact 29.7 m²/MW Footprint

Ohmium International, a PEM electrolyser manufacturer, has unveiled its third-generation Lotus Mark 3 system, introducing a new standard in land efficiency and project scope.
The upgraded design achieves a remarkably compact footprint of just 29.7 m² per megawatt, inclusive of maintenance and access areas, making it one of the most space-efficient green hydrogen solutions available today.
As per the firm's statement, the Lotus Mark 3 integrates all essential components, Balance of Plant (BoP), power electronics, water treatment, hydrogen purification, cooling systems, and gas-liquid separation, within a single streamlined package. This holistic setup enables direct conversion of AC power and city water into 99.99 percent+ pure pressurised hydrogen, cutting installation costs while improving efficiency.
Its hyper-modular, rack-in/rack-out design eliminates the need for cranes during most installations, allowing access with standard equipment like forklifts or hand trucks. This lowers both capital expenditure and operating costs, while also reducing downtime.
With a global project pipeline of over 2 GW across three continents and successful outdoor deployments in extreme climates ranging from -40°C to 55°C, Ohmium is positioning its electrolysers as a practical solution for industries where land scarcity and cost have traditionally been barriers.
