Marking the ‘World Nature Conservation Day’, celebrated on the 28th of July across the globe, Waaree Energies has announced a noble campaign ‘Plant a Life’. Perfecting its own cause of promoting green energy, Waaree has aligned itself to another greater cause of conserving nature, by plating more trees. Under this campaign, Waaree undertakes the responsibility of plating saplings around the company managed solar parks, plants and projects in the cities of Surat, Akola, Nanded, Bhadla etc. The planting of the sapling will be carried out in the presence of the senior leadership team of the company.
Elucidating further on the concept, Mr. Sunil Rathi, Director – Sales and Marketing Waaree Energies commented, “We are in a business where we draw energy from the nature and give it back to its inhabitants. Although we promote the use of green energy, we recognized that it was our responsibility to aid in conservation of nature and the greenery around as well. It was necessary for us to take a step towards educating the people on the harmful effects of carbon footprints in nature and highlight the importance of growing more and more trees to counter that. Treading on these line-of-thoughts, the concept of ‘Plant a Life’ was abstracted”.
Adding further details, Mr. Jignesh Rathod – SBU head, Waaree Energies said, “Plant a Life’ is a Waaree endeavor that completes the cycle of nature preservation and our motto - Go Green. We have spoken a lot about the adverse impacts of greenhouse gases released during various activities that support human life and advocate the use solar energy instead. While solar energy is slowly gaining prominence, planting more trees to counter tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) present in our atmosphere is the motive behind the campaign.”
The company pledges to plant as many as 100 saplings in five of its sites. Accordingly, Mr. Jignesh Rathod, will be doing the honors at Waaree Factory. Similarly Mr. Ketan Patel, Head O&M, will be seen plating a life at the Sunbless Solar Park, Murtizapur (Akola). Likewise, the remaining sites are divided amongst various Operations Heads. Furthermore, the enthusiastic staff of Waaree has shouldered the responsibility of driving educational sessions for the villagers, talking about the importance of planting trees and conserving them
