NTPC’s Installed Capacity Touches 55,126 MW

Crosses 55000 MW mark with commissioning of 1st Unit of 800 MW of Gadarwara Super Thermal Power Project

NTPC has announced the increase of its total installed capacity to 55,126 MW with the commissioning of 1st Unit of 800 MW of Gadarwara Super Thermal Power Project (2x800 MW) today. The Gadarwara Supercritical coal based power project is located in Madhya Pradesh.

With a vision to be the world’s leading power company, energising India’s growth, the Maharatna addresses the power needs of a vast majority of population with high level of efficiency. 

NTPC group, including its joint ventures and subsidiaries, currently operates 52 stations based on Coal, Gas/Liquid Fuel, Solar, Hydro and Wind energy. NTPC aims to achieve total installed capacity of 130 GW by 2032.
