NTPC-SAIL Power Company Invites Bids for 600 kW solar projects with 200 kW/400 kWh BESS in Bhilai
NTPC-SAIL Power Company Ltd. has issued an EPC tender for a 600 kW ground-mounted solar project with a 200 kW/400 kWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at its Bhilai township in Chhattisgarh under its green township initiative.

NTPC-SAIL Power Company Ltd., a joint venture of NTPC and SAIL, has floated an EPC tender for a 600 kW ground-mounted solar project with a 200 kW/400 kWh battery energy system (BESS) at the company’s township in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh as part of its green township initiative.
The scope of work includes the design, engineering, fabrication, procurement, packing, forwarding, supply, transportation and handling, custom duty (and any other duties), freight, insurance, unloading, storage, construction, erection, integration with the existing system, testing and commissioning, supply of mandatory spares etc. for the solar plant with storage.
The scope also includes one year of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) of the solar PV and BESS plant as well as an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) of critical equipment for a period of 5 years.
Bidders must submit INR 5 lakh as a bid security.
The last date for submission of bids is May 27, 2025 till 3:00 PM. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same day at 3:30 PM.
The tender specifies that Class-I local suppliers and Class-II local suppliers only are eligible to participate.
The bidder must have designed, supplied, erected/supervised erection and commissioned/supervised commissioning of a grid-connected solar PV plant of a minimum of 480 kWp at any single location and a grid-connected BESS of a minimum of 100 kW at any single location.
The reference plants must have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.
The average annual turnover of the bidder, must not be less than INR 3.77 crore during the preceding three financial years. The net worth of the bidder as on the last day of the preceding financial year must not be less than 100 percent of the bidder’s paid-up share capital.
