NTPC Renewable Energy Tenders BoS Package for 600 MW Wind Projects in Andhra Pradesh

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. has invited bids for a Balance of System (BoS) package for 600 MW ISTS-connected wind energy projects at Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. Bid submission closes on June 26, 2025.

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (NTPC REL) has floated a Balance of System (BoS) package for 600 MW ISTS-connected wind energy projects at Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, micro-siting, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and proving the guaranteed performance parameters for installation of the offered wind farm starting from 33kV internal evacuation lines from the unit substation, pooling substation, central monitoring and control station (CMCS), wind monitoring mast(s), external EHV transmission line till ISTS substation etc.

However, supply, civil works and installation of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), unit substations and SCADA are not in the scope of the wind BoS package.

Bidders need to pay INR 22,500 as a tender document fee.

The last date for submission of bids is June 26, 2025 till 3:00 PM. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same day at 3:30 PM.

The offered wind project by the bidder must be compatible for the installation of any WTG of size ranging from 3 MW to higher WTG machine size as available in the market. WTG machine must be RLMM listed.

The bidder will also be responsible for the acquisition of the required land for the offered wind farm project, all roads, storage area, pooling sub-station etc. as per prevailing government rules and transfer of title/lease deed to NTPC REL including infra-structure development.

The bidder must also offer 3 years of comprehensive operation and maintenance of the complete system under wind BoS package scope including pooling substation, and internal and external transmission system along with supply of all spare parts, consumables, repairs/replacement of any defective equipment, payment of applicable charges levied by the respective state government, etc.

The bidder must have executed/got executed arrangement of land and micro-siting of wind turbine for wind project(s) of cumulative capacity 40 MW or higher, out of which at least one wind project must be of 10 MW or higher capacity.

Alternatively, the bidder must have executed an arrangement of land for grid-connected solar PV projects/solar parks or wind projects/wind parks or a combination thereof, of cumulative capacity of 100 MW or higher, out of which at least one project/park must be of 50 MW or higher capacity.

Alternatively, the bidder must be a developer of grid-connected wind power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 10 MW or higher capacity at a single location.

The reference plant of 10 MW or higher capacity must have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.

Alternatively, the bidder must have executed in the last 10 years an industrial project either as a developer or as an EPC contractor in the area of power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining including coal handling plant and or any other process industry, of a value of at least INR 69.4 crore for 50 MW to 300 MW capacity and INR 23.12 lakh/MW for capacity of more than 300 MW, in a single project or single work.

The same should be in successful operation for at least one year for industrial projects other than RE projects and for at least six months for solar and wind projects.

Additionally, the bidder must have executed at least one electrical sub-station of 33 kV or above voltage level, consisting of equipment such as 33 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformer, either as a developer or as an EPC Contractor. The same should be in successful operation for at least one year for industrial projects other than RE projects and for at least six months for RE projects, prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.

The average annual turnover of the bidder must not be less than INR 69.4 crore for 50 MW to 300 MW capacity and INR 23.12 lakh/MW for capacity of more than 300 MW, during the preceding three financial years as on the date of techno-commercial bid opening. Bidders must have positive net worth as on the last day of the preceding financial year.
