NTPC Releases NIA for Enrollment of EV Charging Infrastructure Developers

NTPC Ltd has announced that it has issued a Notice Inviting Applications (NIA), pursuing applications from eligible and interested parties for the enrolment of bidders for the development of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure with Bharat Chargers.

The brief scope of work for the enlisted bidders when executing a project will include the supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning including earthing, cabling and all associated civil works related to Bharat DC-001 and AC-001 chargers for EVs at the identified locations including a 1-year OEM in-built warranty and additional 5 years Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for the complete system.

The last date and time for submission of applications is August 2, 2019, and the applications will be opened on the same date.

To be qualified, the bidder should have manufactured and supplied, or be a charge point provider of off-board EV DC charger(s). The cumulative installed capacity should be at least 50 kW or above, out of which at least one such charger should be of 15 kW or above prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.

The other route entails the bidder to have implemented at least one electrical sub-station of 11 kV or above voltage level, consisting of equipment such as 11 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and transformer, either as developer or as contractor which should be in successful operation for at least two years prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.
