NTPC REL Secures 900 MW Solar Project in PFCCL's 1250 MW Tender

The discovered tariff for this project stands at INR 2.53/kWh, and the energy generated will be procured by NTPC Ltd.

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has emerged victorious in the bid for a 900 MW capacity in the Solar tender conducted by PFCCL on behalf of NTPC Ltd. 

The tender, aimed at selecting 1250 MW ISTS-Connected Solar PV Power Projects in India under the Flexibility Scheme, witnessed a successful reverse auction on December 21, 2023.

The discovered tariff for this project stands at INR 2.53/kWh, and the energy generated will be procured by NTPC Ltd. The primary objective is to gradually replace thermal power through existing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) of NTPC Ltd. with various distribution companies (DISCOM).

NTPC Group, at present, boasts an operational capacity of 3.36 GW in renewable energy, with an ambitious pipeline of nearly 20 GW. Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to a greener future, NTPC aims to achieve an impressive 60 GW of Renewable Energy capacity by the year 2032.
