NTPC REL Invites Bids for 540 MW Wind Project at Anantapur-III ISTS, Andhra Pradesh
NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. has invited domestic bids for developing a 540 MW wind project at Anantapur-III ISTS substation, Andhra Pradesh, covering EPC, land acquisition, grid connectivity and 10-year O&M.

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Ltd., has invited online bids for the development of a 540 MW wind energy project at the ISTS Sub-Station Anantapur-III in Andhra Pradesh (Tranche-II) under domestic competitive bidding.
The bidding will follow a single-stage, two-envelope system, comprising a techno-commercial bid and a price bid. The Invitation for Bids was issued on February 12, 2026.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, micro-siting, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, installation and commissioning of the complete wind farm using ALMM (Wind) listed wind turbine generators of 3 MW or higher capacity. The project also covers unit substations, pooling substations, 33 kV internal evacuation lines, wind monitoring masts, central monitoring and control station (CMCS), and external EHV transmission lines up to the ISTS substation.
The contractor will be responsible for land acquisition, infrastructure development, right of way, and transfer of land title or lease deed to NTPC REL in line with applicable government regulations. Associated civil works include WTG foundations, internal roads, control room buildings, storage sheds, water supply arrangements and approach roads.
Electrical works will cover grid interfacing facilities such as internal HT lines, metering systems, EHV substations and required switchgear. The scope also includes inland transportation and insurance on FOR basis, geotechnical investigation, grid compliance studies, SCADA and SAS systems, power plant controller, harmonic filters and static VAR generators as required.
The wind project will be interconnected with Anantapur ISTS Sub-Station-III, with ISTS connectivity arranged by NTPC REL. The selected bidder will also be responsible for obtaining all statutory approvals and clearances, including environmental, electrical, forest, and renewable energy agency approvals.
In addition, the contract includes 10 years of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) covering wind turbine generators, substations, transmission systems and project infrastructure, along with the supply of mandatory spares.
