NTPC REL Invites Bids for 215 MW Wind Project in Madhya Pradesh

NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has floated a tender for the development of a 215 MW wind energy project at STU substation in Madhya Pradesh.
 
The scope of work includes design, engineering, micro-siting, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, installation and commissioning of the wind farm, including land with STU connectivity. It also includes 33kV internal evacuation lines from the unit substation, pooling substation, central monitoring and control station (CMCS), wind monitoring mast(s), external EHV transmission line to STU substation, etc.
 
Bidders must deposit INR 20 crore as a bid security.
 
The last date for submission of bids is October 9, 2026, till 3:00 PM. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same day at 3:30 PM.
 
The wind project must be interconnected to the STU substation in Madhya Pradesh. STU connectivity must be arranged by the EPC agency.
 
The bidders must offer ALMM (Wind) listed wind turbine generators (WTGs) having a capacity of 3.0 MW or higher.
 
The bidder must meet one of the following eligibility routes: The bidder should have designed, supplied, erected and commissioned grid-connected wind power plants with a cumulative capacity of at least 40 MW, including at least one 10 MW or larger plant at a single location. The 10 MW or larger reference plant must have been operational for at least six months before the techno-commercial bid opening.
 
Alternatively, the bidder may be a manufacturer of an approved WTG model of at least 3,000 kW listed under the latest MNRE ALMM (Wind) list and must associate with an entity that has arranged land for grid-connected wind/solar projects totalling at least 40 MW, including one project of 10 MW or more at a single location. Both parties must jointly undertake responsibility for successful project performance for 12 years or until the end of the defect liability period, whichever is later.
 
Under the third route, the bidder may have executed land arrangement and power evacuation works, including transmission lines and pooling substations, for grid-connected wind/solar projects totalling at least 40 MW, including one 10 MW or larger project at a single location that has operated successfully for at least six months. The bidder must associate with a WTG manufacturer having an approved 3,000 kW or higher WTG model in the latest MNRE ALMM (Wind) list. Both parties must provide a joint undertaking covering project performance for 12 years or until the end of the defect liability period, whichever is later.
 
Alternatively, the bidder may be a developer of grid-connected wind power plants with a cumulative capacity of at least 40 MW, including one 10 MW or larger plant at a single location that has been operational for at least six months.
 
As for financial eligibility, the average annual turnover of the bidder must not be less than INR 395.96 crore during the preceding three financial years. Additionally, the bidder must have a positive net worth as on the last day of the preceding financial year or as on the last day of the preceding financial quarter.
