NTPC Renewable Energy has initiated the bidding process for a 1,200 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind energy project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, with a greenshoe option of up to 300 MW.
The tender, open until December 28, 2023, encompasses the comprehensive design, engineering, and implementation of the wind farm, including critical components like internal evacuation lines, monitoring infrastructure, and transmission connections.
Key requirements for prospective bidders include a successful track record in executing wind projects, experience in micro-siting, and the ability to secure land for turbines. The tender also allows for qualification as developers of grid-connected wind projects, with specific criteria for project capacity and operational history.
Eligibility extends to bidders with a track record in industrial projects related to power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemicals, fertilizer, cement, or other process industries. The completion of a 33 kV or higher electrical substation and financial stability metrics are also prerequisites for participation.
