NTPC REL Invites Bids for 1110 MW Wind Energy Project in Gujarat

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has opened online bids for the Balance of System (BOS) package of an Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) connected wind energy project with a nominal capacity of 1110 MW, set to be located anywhere in Gujarat under Tranche II.

Interested bidders must submit their bids, comprising both techno-commercial and price bids, by December 20, 2023. The techno-commercial bid is scheduled to open on the same day.

The scope of work for the successful bidder encompasses a comprehensive range of activities, including detailed design, engineering, micro-siting, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and guaranteeing performance parameters.

The project initiation starts from the 33kV internal evacuation lines and includes the acquisition of necessary land for the wind farm.

Key requirements for the wind project include compatibility for installing Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) ranging from 3.0 MW to higher, with the condition that the WTG machine should be RLMM listed.

In addition to the installation phase, the scope of work extends to a three-year comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) commitment. This covers the entire system under the Wind BOS development package scope, encompassing the pooling substation, internal and external transmission systems, and the supply of all spare parts.

To qualify for the bid, potential bidders must have executed wind projects with a cumulative capacity of 40 MW or higher. Additionally, at least one of these projects should have a capacity of at least 10 MW.
