NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has initiated the bidding process for two 325 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) projects located in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This move marks a significant step in India's ongoing efforts to expand its renewable energy capacity and reduce its reliance on fossil fuels.
The invitation for online bids outlines the scope of work, which includes site grading and clearing, topographical surveys, geotechnical investigations, design, foundation construction, and the installation of Tracker-Based Module Mounting Structures (MMS) for the solar PV panels.
The project also covers power and water supply for construction, inverter room construction, and electrical and civil work for grid interfacing.
Power evacuation up to the 33 kV Main Pooling Switchgear at the Owner’s pooling substation is a key aspect of the project. Additionally, it involves laying and terminating high-tension (HT) cables according to specifications.
The bid submission deadline for both Techno-Commercial Bids and Price Bids is December 12, 2023, with the opening of Techno-Commercial Bids on the same date. Eligible bidders should have experience in designing and commissioning solar PV-based grid-connected power plants and should meet specific financial criteria. Qualifying bidders will be enlisted by NTPC REL for future solar EPC packages.
This tender represents a substantial investment in India's renewable energy infrastructure, contributing to the nation's transition to a more sustainable energy future.
