NTPC Operationalises 100 MW Solar PV Project at Ramagundam, Telangana

NTPC has operationalised 100 MW of its 176 MW solar PV project at Ramagundam, Telangana, taking its total group installed capacity to 89,805 MW.

NTPC has announced that the company has operationalised 100 MW at its 176 MW solar PV projects at Ramagundam, Telangana.  
 
“Consequent upon successful commissioning, 100 MW out of 176 MW capacity of NTPC's Solar PV Project at Ramagundam, Telangana, is declared on Commercial Operation w.e.f. 00:00 Hrs. of May 2, 2026,” the company stated in a regulatory filing.
 
It further added that with this, the total installed capacity of the NTPC group stands at 89,805 MW and commercial capacity at 88,725 MW.
 
NTPC’s subsidiary NTPC Green Energy recently operationalised an additional 90 MW at its Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat, taking the project’s total commissioned capacity to 1,095 MW and the NGEL group’s overall installed capacity to 10,453.90 MW.
 
In March 2026, the company also operationalised the third and last part capacity of 75 MW at its 500 MW Bhadla solar PV project located in Phalodi, Rajasthan and the twelfth and last part capacity of 78.02 MW at its 1,255 MW Khavda-I solar PV project located in Gujarat.
 
By 2032, NTPC Group plans to have 60 GW capacity through RE sources, constituting nearly 45 percent of its overall power generation capacity.
