NTPC Green Energy Tenders Land and EHV Transmission System Package for 900 MW Solar Project in Gujarat
NTPC Green Energy has issued a tender for land acquisition and EHV transmission system package for development of up to 900 MW of ISTS-connected solar projects in Gujarat’s Bhuj region. Bid submission ends on June 9, 2025.

The scope of work includes arrangement of government/private land (5 acre/MW) on freehold/leasehold basis in Bhuj region of Gujarat. The lease period must be a minimum of 29 years 11 months.
The bidder must undertake topography Survey for land parcels and any cutting/filling with compaction, to maintain an average slope of 10 percent for solar project land for installation of tracker-based MMS.
The work also includes design and construction of EHV transmission line till ISTS sub-station complying with CEA standards, including arranging for the ‘Right of Way’ of transmission line. It also includes design and construction of terminal bay at ISTS end. Bidders must also offer operation and maintenance for both of these for 3 years.
Bidders need to pay INR 22,500 as a tender document fee. Further, they need to furnish bid security of INR 2 crore for 300 MW, 5 crore for 600 MW and 10 crore for 900 MW of capacity.
The last date for submission of bids is June 9, 2024 till 2:00 PM. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same day at 2:30 PM.
The bidder must have executed arrangement of land for grid-connected solar PV projects/solar parks or wind projects/wind parks or combination thereof, of cumulative capacity of 100 MW or higher, out of which at least one project/park must be of 50 MW or higher capacity.
Alternatively, the bidder must have executed in the last 10 years an industrial project either as a developer or as an EPC contractor in the area of power, steel, oil and gas, petro-chemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining including coal handling plant and or any other process industry, of a value of at least INR 17.90 crore for capacity up to 300 MW and INR 5.97 lakh/MW for capacities above 300 MW, in a single project or single work.
The same should be in successful operation for at least one year for industrial projects other than RE projects and for at least six months for solar and wind projects.
Additionally, the bidder must have executed at least one electrical sub-station of 33 kV or above voltage level, consisting of equipment such as 33 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformer, either as a developer or as an EPC Contractor. The same should be in successful operation for at least one year for industrial projects other than RE projects and for at least six months for RE projects, prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.
The average annual turnover of the bidder must not be less than INR 17.90 crore for capacity up to 300 MW and INR 5.97 lakh/MW for capacities above 300 MW, during the preceding three financial years as on date of techno-commercial bid opening. Bidders must have positive net worth as on the last day of the preceding financial year.
