NTPC Green Energy Reports 63 Percent Revenue Growth to INR 1,107 Cr in Q1 FY27, PAT Rises 38 Percent
NTPC Green Energy has reported a 63 percent YoY increase in revenue from operations to INR 1,107 crore in Q1 FY27, supported by 595 MW renewable energy capacity additions during the quarter that took its operational portfolio to 10,671 MW.

NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has reported a 63 percent year-on-year (YoY) rise in revenue from operations to INR 1,107 crore in Q1 FY27 from INR 680 crore in Q1 FY26. The company’s operating EBITDA has increased 64 percent to INR 989 crore, while profit after tax (PAT) grew 38 percent to INR 305 crore from INR 220 crore in Q1 FY26.
The company's consolidated operational capacity reached 10,671 MW as of June 30, 2026, following the addition of 595 MW during the quarter and 4,174 MW during FY26. As of July 20, 2026, the operational capacity had further increased to 10,722 MW. The operational portfolio comprises 9,891 MW of solar capacity and 780 MW of wind capacity.
Renewable energy generation during the quarter increased sharply to 5,753 million units (MU), registering a 65 percent YoY growth from 3,486 MU in Q1 FY26. Solar projects generated 5,126 MU, while wind projects contributed 627 MU. Solar plants operated at a capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 24 percent, while wind projects recorded a CUF of 37 percent.
The company said that its total renewable energy portfolio, including operational, contracted, awarded and pipeline projects, has expanded to 30,413 MW. This comprises 10,671 MW of operational capacity, 16,318 MW under contracted and awarded projects, and 3,424 MW of projects under pipeline.
NGEL Group is also expanding its energy storage portfolio. Its BESS pipeline currently includes 320 MWh in Kerala, 1,600 MWh in Rajasthan, and 200 MWh in Uttar Pradesh, taking the total planned battery storage capacity to over 2.1 GWh.
