NTPC Green Energy Operationalises 90 MW at Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat

NTPC Green Energy, through its wholly-owned subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy, has operationalised an additional 90 MW at its Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat, taking the project’s total commissioned capacity to 1,095 MW and the group’s overall installed capacity to 10,453.90 MW.

NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has announced that the company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy, has operationalised the seventh part capacity of 90 MW at its 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project located in Gujarat.
 
With this, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Group has increased to 10,453.90 MW, the company stated in a regulatory filing.
 
With the operationalisation of the seventh part capacity, the total operational capacity of the Khavda-II Solar PV Project has increased to 1,095 MW.
 
Last month, the company operationalised the third, fourth, fifth and sixth part capacity totalling 630 MW. The second part capacity of 165 MW was operationalised in February 2026, while the first part capacity of 210 MW was operationalised in January 2026.
 
In March 2026, the company also operationalised the third and last part capacity of 75 MW at its 500 MW Bhadla solar PV project located in Phalodi, Rajasthan and the twelfth and the last part capacity of 78.02 MW at its 1,255 MW Khavda-I solar PV project located in Gujarat.
 
By 2032, NTPC Group plans to have 60 GW capacity through RE sources, constituting nearly 45 percent of its overall power generation capacity.
