NTPC Green Energy’s Operational RE Capacity Crosses 10 GW Mark
NTPC Green Energy, through its subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy, has commissioned 348.02 MW across its Bhadla solar PV project in Rajasthan, and Khavda-I and Khavda-II solar projects in Gujarat, taking total installed capacity to 10,075.70 MW.

NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has announced that the company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy, has operationalised a total of 348.02 MW of solar projects across Gujarat and Rajasthan. With this, NGEL Group’s installed capacity has increased to 10,075.70 MW.
The company has operationalised the third and last part capacity of 75 MW at its 500 MW Bhadla solar PV project located in Phalodi, Rajasthan. It has also operationalised the twelfth and the last part capacity of 78.02 MW at its 1,255 MW Khavda-I solar PV project located in Gujarat.
Additionally, the company has operationalised the fifth and sixth part capacity totalling 195 MW at its 1,200 MW Khavda-II solar PV project located in Gujarat. With this, the plant’s operational capacity has increased to 1,005 MW.
The fourth part capacity of 165 MW and the third part capacity of 270 MW were commissioned earlier this month. The second part capacity of 165 MW was operationalised in February 2026, while the first part capacity of 210 MW was operationalised in January 2026.
“The Group’s total installed capacity now stands at 10,076 MW, marking an exceptional addition of 4,175 MW during FY 2025-26, of which 2,065 MW was commissioned in Q4 alone,” the company stated.
In March 2026, NTPC Green Energy’s group company, Ayana Renewable Power, operationalised the second part capacity of 91.6 MW, thereby fully commissioning its 250 MW solar project in Andhra Pradesh.
Last month, NTPC Green Energy, through its wholly-owned subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy, commissioned the first 50 MW of its 200 MW Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-II in Gujarat.
By 2032, NTPC Group plans to have 60 GW capacity through RE sources, constituting nearly 45 percent of its overall power generation capacity.
