NTPC Green Energy has floated an EPC tender for development of 56 MW floating solar PV project with 60 MW/240 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at NTPC North Karanpura in Chatra district of Jharkhand.
The bidder must provide comprehensive operation and maintenance of five years for the floating solar and power evacuation system. The O&M period for the BESS component would be 15 years.
The last date for submission of bids is June 24, 2025 till 2:00 PM. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same day at 2:30 PM.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning of the grid-connected floating solar PV project coupled BESS on turnkey basis.
Further, the bidder has to obtain site-specific data from the owner in preparation for developing installation and implementation plans.
Power evacuation system and equipment including integration in existing 220 kV switchyard is considered in the scope of Bidder.
Bidder can choose AC coupled BESS and or DC coupled BESS for the project. BESS must be provided in standardised container with minimum DC capacity of 5 MWh per container.
The scope of the project also includes grid compliance study, reactive power compensations and power quality compliance for the entire solar+BESS system up to 400 KV/220 KV grid interconnection point at NTPC projects switchyard.
