NTPC Green Energy and RVUNL Sign JV Deal for RE and Green Hydrogen Projects
NTPC Green Energy Ltd. and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. have signed a joint venture agreement to develop 25 GW of renewable energy projects and 1 MMTPA of green hydrogen in Rajasthan.

NTPC Green Energy Ltd. (NGEL) and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (RVUNL) have formalised a joint venture agreement (JVA) aimed at advancing green energy and green hydrogen initiatives.
The agreement was formalised by Rajiv Gupta, CEO of NGEL, and Devendra Shringi, CMD of RVUNL, in the presence of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. Other notable attendees included Gajendra Singh Khimsar, Minister of Medical and Health; Jogaram Patel, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs; Manju Sharma, MP, Jaipur; Alok (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary (Energy); and other dignitaries from NGEL and RVUNL.
The joint venture will focus on the development of 25 GW of Renewable Energy Projects and the production of 1 MMTPA of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives within the state of Rajasthan.
In addition to the signing, Chief Minister dedicated 160 MW of a 320 MW Solar Power Project at Bhainsara, Rajasthan, to the nation.This partnership shows the commitment of both NGEL and RVUNL to advancing India's renewable energy and green hydrogen goals, contributing significantly to the nation's energy transition and sustainability efforts.
