NTPC Green Energy Adds 72.45 MW Wind Capacity in Gujarat
NTPC Renewable Energy has added 72.45 MW of wind capacity in Gujarat in September 2026 under its 500 MW REMCL RTC project, taking the NTPC Green Energy group’s installed capacity to 10,977.23 MW.

The capacity comprises the first part of 50.4 MW of the Jamjodhpur wind energy project in Jamnagar and three parts of the Vanki wind energy project in Nakhatrana, Kutch. The first 50.4 MW of the Jamjodhpur project and the fourth part of 6.3 MW of the Vanki project were declared on commercial operation with effect from September 22, 2026.
Earlier, the second part of 6.3 MW of the Vanki Wind Energy Project was declared commercially operational with effect from September 13, 2026, while the third part of 9.45 MW achieved commercial operation from September 19, 2026.
The wind projects form part of the 1,050 MW wind component under NTPC REL's 500 MW REMCL RTC project.
With these additions, NTPC Green Energy group’s installed capacity has increased to 10,977.23 MW, the company stated in a regulatory filing.
Separately, based on a certificate issued by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency on September 17, 2026, the third part capacity of 68.22 MW of NTPC REL's 200 MW Gujarat Solar PV Project at Dahod was declared commercially operational with effect from July 23, 2026.
By 2032, NTPC Group plans to have 60 GW capacity through RE sources, constituting nearly 45 percent of its overall power generation capacity.
