NTPC Green Commissions 50 MW Solar in Bhuj, Gujarat
NTPC Green Energy adds 50 MW solar capacity in Bhuj, raising total installed capacity to 7,247.575 MW, marking steady growth through joint ventures and renewable expansion.

NTPC Green Energy Ltd. (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd. has announced the commercial operation of a 50 MW solar unit at Bhuj, Gujarat, effective August 24, 2025.
The project was developed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., itself a wholly owned arm of ONGC NTPC Green Private, and forms part of a larger 150 MW solar installation in Bhuj.
With this milestone, NGEL’s total installed capacity has increased from 7,197.575 MW to 7,247.575 MW, strengthening the company’s renewable portfolio.
NTPC Ltd., India’s largest power producer, operates across thermal, hydro, and renewable energy segments, with a growing focus on green capacity through NGEL and strategic joint ventures.
