NPTI Inaugurates PRISM Emulation Centre in New Delhi for Power, RE Training
The National Power Training Institute has inaugurated the PRISM Emulation Centre at its Badarpur campus in New Delhi to provide hands-on training in power systems, renewable energy, smart grids and micro-grids.

The centre was inaugurated by Hemant Jain, Director General, NPTI and Member (Grid Operation and Distribution), Central Electricity Authority (CEA). Senior NPTI officials, including Principal Director (Training) Indu Maheshwari, Directors (Training) Rohit Verma and Vatsala Sharma, and other senior officials, attended the inauguration.
The state-of-the-art centre features multiple emulation scenarios and use cases covering power systems, renewable energy, hybrid renewable energy systems, smart grids and micro-grids within an Energy Management System framework. These facilities will enable hands-on training and practical learning on the operation, integration and management of modern energy systems, NPTI stated.
It further added that the centre will provide engineers, technical professionals and power-sector trainees with practical exposure to emerging technologies and their application in evolving grid environments.
NPTI said that the establishment of the PRISM Emulation Centre is aimed at strengthening future-ready human resources and supporting the adoption of modern power-sector technologies amid the rapid evolution of India's energy landscape.
