As part of its clean energy and decarbonisation strategy, Noida Power Company (NPCL) has signed a tripartite MoU with GoodEnough Energy and Indoplast to replace diesel generator sets with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
The pilot project aims to provide clean and reliable backup power, optimise energy costs through smart charging and discharging, and support renewable energy integration while reducing dependence on fossil fuels, NPCL stated.
“The initiative marks a key step toward improving grid flexibility, lowering emissions, and delivering customer-centric energy solutions, reinforcing NPCL’s role in advancing India’s energy transition,” it said.
